An Interview with Dr. Cohen, Orthopedic Surgeon
I had a chance to sit down with a long-time colleague, Laurence Cohen, MD, of Berkshire Orthopaedic Associates who experienced the evolution of orthopedics, and in particular, joint-replacements. He spoke about how rehabilitation before and after surgery is happening more and more at home for a variety of reasons. Also, he cautioned high-impact activities following the insertion of artificial knees and hips because of wear and tear. Cohen also talked about arthroscopy to address chronic arthritis is quite controversial in the field, as in some studies, the results have been dubious.
